Our Services

  • £100. Up to 60 minutes

Our speciality at Lakeland Sports Podiatry is musculoskeletal injuries. Our highly trained HCPC registered Podiatrist has an MSc in Clinical Biomechanics. Sally has worked all over the world as a biomechanics specialist treating top athletes, and for many years was the Biomechanics Lead Podiatrist in North Cumbria Integrated Health NHS.

Your first biomechanics appointment will include a full assessment of your problem by taking a comprehensive history, followed by taking you through a series of specific functional and dynamic tests. This will highlight areas where there is either a restriction in joint motion or a lack of muscle strength.

Where appropriate, we will utilise gait analysis. This can consist of a basic visual assessment of the way you walk, or a more detailed video gait analysis. You will be able to see for yourself how you walk or run, helping you to understand your particular problems, why they exist and how they can be treated and prevented.

You will receive treatment on your first visit, and this includes a written treatment plan.

Please note that orthotics are not included in this price.
